西灣學院於2020年成立社會創新研究所，社會創新研究所聚焦在培育社會創新與永續經營之領導人才，除了傳遞給學生知識之外，更重視能力之培育。期盼培養學生具有團體協作、問題挖掘、深度思考、個案分析以及場域實作等能力。

所上希冀結合跨領域的思考和資源，作為異質連結的跨界平台，敞開更多對話、思想與行動的空間，共同創造更多可能性。以團體合作發揮集體力，跳出既有的視角與慣習，找到創新的方式或工具，解決當前遭遇的複雜課題，促使每個人都能被公平對待，以善的循環讓所有人獲得更好的生活。

Founded by Si Wan College in 2020, the Institute of Social Innovation aims at cultivating talents in leadership for social innovation and sustainable management. In addition to introducing knowledge to students, we except to foster their abilities, such as the abilities of teamwork, problem discovery, deep thinking, case analysis and field practice.

The institute aspires to integrate interdisciplinary thinking and resources, serving as a cross-border platform that fosters diverse connections, opens up spaces for dialogue, thought, and action, and creates new possibilities. Through collective collaboration, it seeks to break away from conventional perspectives and habits, discovering innovative methods and tools to address complex challenges. Ultimately, it aims to ensure fair treatment for all and foster a virtuous cycle that enables everyone to achieve a better quality of life.
